East Grinstead & District Dog Training Club

These are run on a regular basis (see 'Latest News' page for start date of next course), and each puppy course lasts for 7 weeks.  The class is open for puppies up to the age of 12 months.  Puppy socialisation, basic obedience and general handling is covered.  The course is run under the Kennel Club Puppy Foundation Scheme. 

Please note that the first evening of each course is purely a talk/demonstration, so please DO NOT BRING YOUR PUPPIES on this night.  Thank you.

There is no requirement to join the Club when attending a puppy course, full payment for the course must be received by the Club in advance of the course start date.

• If you wish to continue your puppy's education with our Club (after completing a puppy course), then you will need to become a member and then join one of the 'General' Classes.  All you need to do is speak to your trainer (or the Head Trainer), pay a yearly subscription and attend the class you have been allocated.  Along with the yearly subcription, there is also a fee to be paid for each months classes attended.  These fees are payable in advance at the beginning of each month.

** Our puppy courses are very popular, and there may well be a waiting period before we have a space available, we hope you will understand if you cannot get on one straight away ** 

If you are thinking of getting a puppy, or have one already booked with a breeder, please contact the club in plenty of time to attend a course as soon as possible.  We take all puppies from the date of their second vaccination.

Where to wait for your lesson:  When you arrive in the building please enter by the first door on your right and then turn immediately left and go up steps onto the 'stage' area of the hall and wait there with your dog until your class in ready to start.

Footwear:  Please ensure you wear 'sensible low heeled shoes', or trainers preferrably.   Failure to do so may result in you being unable to join in with the evenings session.  A covering is placed over the existing wooden floor, so correct (safe) footwear is essential. 

• No refunds will be given if you are unable to attend the course (either whole course or certain days).
